I'm up in Scotland from tomorrow, and fancy some Glentress etc, but wondered if there was great trails near St Andrews. Can't really do proper adventure biking as my guilt will kick in for leaving my wife with sprog for too long...

When are you here? I can show you trails on an evening or tuesday daytime.

You could do the coastal path towards crail and just keep going til you're done and get a train or lift back?

The coastal path is not a fun ride- from St Andrews you have to carry a lot up step sections and so on. It's much nicer on the south coast where you can drive to it.
The better local trails need guidance-
