's fantastic. Where are you going to be based? If you're in the Tramuntana region (tbh, if you're going mountain biking, you do need to be there really as the rest of the island is fairly flat) then look up Andy at Tramuntana Tours. He now has two shops in Soller and Port de Soller, hires bikes, guides rides, sells maps and route guides - he's your man.

There are loads of good trails, and from experience, I'd recommend the Barranc de Biniaraix - an amazing descent from the Coll de l'Ofre having ridden along from the Cuber reservoir. When I did it, I used Andy's full susser and rode up the mountain pass from Fornalutx for 12km on the road to the reservoir, but the downhill was worth it.

I'm off there on the road bike next month, and am looking forward to that for a change though! ๐Ÿ™‚ Drop me a line (email in profile) if I can help further. Cheers.

Thanks for that. I am based in palma but its a train ride to Soller. I am out there Wednesday for a week but am planning on going out in August for 2 weeks so wanted to split the time between sailing and biking
