I new to the area and would really appreciate it if anyone could enlighten me on names and places I could ride locally.

I am not familiar with the area but Radstock sounds like the best MTB festival ever!

Not sure how local you need, but you're not that far from the Quantocks where there's miles of ace trails.

Mendips close by with some good riding (though better in the summer/dry).

Frome not too far with some excelleng riding around Longleat.

Close, they are in Frome, also BTR, bicycle academy and Curtis (well Brian is, but his workshop is over the border in that there Wiltshire)

I know there are some trails around the Bath Uni area but as someone else has said, your best bet around these parts is to head to the Q's or the 'Dips. Great riding for miles and miles and miles. Loads of trails to be found on apps and mags and stuff and you'll gain local knowledge pretty quickly as other riders are more than happy to show you trails and point out places to go.

Thank you, that is really helpful.

I have to put a route map together for school so I was wondering if there were trails near chewton mendip?

If there are, a simple grid reference would be much appreciated!  Thanks again.
