I'm very undecided about what bike to take to trailmasters, doing the saturday only . Full suspension or hard tail.
2 weeks ago I was happy on the Full sus doing the black mountains chain reaction marathon 80 km as it was fairly solid under wheel and the prolonged descents.
Does anyone know around llanwrtyd and know how it compares to to the black mountains or is it more moorland ( will be very soggy after tomorrow) .
Any advice please.
There will be a LOT of ford crossings (over axle deep), and its been raining in heavy patches today so the ground will be quite damp on Saturday (more rain forecast tomorrow). My own preference would be a hardtail as there's a fair bit of climbing and to avoid water damaging all the bearings on the full suss
My only thought with the full suss is to prevent a general body battering but if it s not as rocky as the black mountains i'll be fine.
