Anyone have any experience with the above combo?
Having trouble getting the top U bolt tight enough without clamping onto the top bearing cup. Any tips or mods appreciated.
Should fit on any kid's bike headtube. Can't you turn the u-bolts through 180deg to change the .. er size?
Yeah tried that but they can only really go one way withthis design of frame. There's no room between top and down tube and there's so little room above the top tube that the U bolt pulls on the bearing cup, which clamps the bars in place.
I get you - because the downtube has that curve in it. My kid has a Hotrock now, but I gave away my Trail Gator so can't try it 🙁

Google tells me that some manage it and others don't, maybe it sits better on that top weld on some than others.
