ummmmm .... no

why the hell would you want a 'trail centre' when you are on the doorstep of some of the best 'natural/cheeky' single track in the country

Go to leith hill, box hill, ranmore common, pitch hill and hombury hill and then tell us if you still want a trail center ๐Ÿ™‚

Any more detailed route advice do some searching on here for those hills and go see nirvana cycles in westcott or pedal and spoke in peaslake

There's a zoo at Chessington, I think. Used to be anyway...

The Surrey Hills (Leith, Pitch, Holmbury etc) are the closest thing to a 'trail centre', in that they have many miles of maintained/constructed trails. Takes time to get to learn them to string together a good loop mind, but it's fun exploring.

I spose they are trail centres really, aren't they? Centres, with trails. Rather than just random paths and that.

You will need a 6" travel 'all mountain' bike and body armour. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What about Aston Hill?

Pretty long way from Guildford, much better off riding the Surrey Hills.

Actually, got to say, for the Surrey Hills, njee20 is the man to lead you around. He knows the place really well. Best ride I've had round there was one led by him.

Let's do it again soon Nick! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have been going to Peaslake for the past few years its just that I wanted to find somewhere a bit different. No harm trying new stuff.

Well I suppose you've got Swinley near Bracknell, and Tunnel Hill near Farnborough, although Surrey Hills offers more technical trails.

For somewhere different and not too far away, what about Swinley Forest near Bracknell. Not on your doorstep though.

the nearest "trail centre" is bedgebury near tunbridge wells or deers leep park near east grinstead.

i've never been to deers leap, but bedgebury is inferior to surrey hills. and the parking is a rip off.

don't think they are going to be like the Welsh/Scottish trail centres either!

Deers Leap Park is not worth the bother: It is basically a farm with some trails built around the outside of the fields and through the small woods. It's ok if you are local, and the weather has been very very dry, otherwise give it a miss.

Yeah I've raced Deer's Leap loads, in the dry it's good fun, but in the wet it's truly horrific!

there are no trails on the surrey hills - i don't know where all you people get your info... just firetracks -miles and miles of em, really boring - stick to swinly or Wales or the North! Peaslake has also got the worst shop in the world with the worst cheese straws and bakewell slices... nothing to see here

If you've done Peaslake to death, and since you seem to be not too familiar with the area in general, I suggest you go to Leith Hill. You will need to do some discovering, but there's plenty up there to keep you amused.

Tunnel Hill is really good too - a trip north from Guildford, rather than east.
