In any t de f or t of b event when a rider has emptied his bottle content can he the be supplied with fresh bottle or can this only be done at the feed station / zone?

So feed stations are for food rather than drink if you know what I mean?

They can collect bottles/food from the team car anytime after the first 50km and before the final 20km. That means dropping back to the team car so if the car is towards the back of the convoy, they may just choose to wait until the feed zone which is at a set point somewhere in the middle of the stage.
