As much as Jumbo-Visma look like they've dominated, it's their's to lose on the final two stages. It's so close in GC, by design.

Stage 7 about to get underway and some hills at last

No Tom Pidcock though - he's pulled out with a saddle sore infection

Real shame. Was really looking forward to giving him some beans on the way up one of the climbs today.
Decent attacks already.

Much as it may not have been the most exciting course so far, there have been some great crowds and a good atmosphere coupled with the full live coverage and excellent commentary on free-to-view TV; that should really help in getting a sponsor or two on board for next year and maybe a return to some more iconic stages.

Tomorrow should be good as well.

As someone told me after a load of people at the roadside saw me write a big GO TOM on the road up a local hill, just before the race came through :/

Embarrassed, nah.. haha

Was a good crowd on Crawley Hill - all the local roadie clubs out in force plus the odd FS 🙂

Impressive number of police motorbikes!

Hello good people of Singletrack. Two friends of mine had their bikes stolen whilst watching the ToB in Gloucester yesterday. If any of you see or hear about a couple of top of the range road bikes going cheap could you let me know. The bikes were a Team Sky Pinerello Dogma F10 and custom painted Blue S-Works Tarmac. Thank you.

Final stage just starting.

Yesterday was good, it's picked up a lot in the final couple of hilly days and the lack of time bonuses does actually make it quite finely poised.

South Wales looking good from the air. 🙂

Been trying to watch this for the last hour or so but finally given up. It's quite literally 50/50 live race coverage to adverts. And that's including the "live" coverage that is a frozen screen for large chunks.

It's been working for me. There was a large chunk of adverts earlier as the race got neutralised and paused briefly to route around a road traffic incident (not connected to the race).

So they piled it with adverts during that time.

Last 8km now, nailbiting stuff!

I've ridden those Caerphilly roads many times, that descent was always good for 50+ mph. 🙂

It's working fine for me as well, if anything there seems less ad breaks than the TDF coverage.

I hope everyone agrees that was a cracking stage.

Definitely.
Highlights at 8pm on ITV4 if you didn't see it live. Well worth a watch!

Bit of an insight into some of the behind the scenes stuff:

I notice that the BBC omitted the criticism of Brexit when they reported on it...

Great atmosphere out there today.
Just watched the ITV highlights; found it odd that they didn't show Wout on the podium. Did they interview him at all afterwards in the live coverage?

@crazy-legs I hope everyone here reads that and takes on board the problems Mick and the rest have had to deal with and the detractors wind their necks in a bit.
