Nice idea, but they'll have to resurface a lot of roads or it'll be more like roubaix!

In York we have The Fat Controller trying to grasp onto this with both his sweaty paws and a lot of the locals asking why? WHY?

Nice idea for tourism pound though.

Would the roads need to be upgraded? Looking at other TdF stages a lot get held on pretty ropey surfaces so as long as there's no potholes and they give them a good sweep to clear any gravel then what's the problem.

Uless they want to advertise yorksire to to the world as having billiard table smooth roads.

A1 is fine at the mo, they could go up and down it.
