It's just tipped it down in ValD just now. They're in for a shock. Snowploughs clearing the Tignes road. jolly exciting.

Holy shit. Anyone thinking that the Martin/Rowe kicking out incident was a French conspiracy will have difficulty explaining this.

Shame. JA had caught the Thomas group and was in with a chance of keeping the jersey.

wwaswas - that's one helluva hailstorm :). I take it that's the race route? Can't argue with a landslide stopping play.

Gives Alla a bit more time to recover, tomorrow’s another day ...

🤷‍♂️

Can only think Skineos had this covered off, Bernal was well out there and hard to beat. So, maybe tomorrow they all support Bernal FTW..

Might watch the fallout as they all get to the bottom, be interested to hear/read the riders tweets later 🤪

Great race folks, great race.

Gutted. The atmosphere here was amazing. So cool watching on the big screen waiting for them to come past. Damp squib.

Incidentally, how utterly shite is the Guardian live feed. It's about ten minutes behind you lot. And they're getting paid for it.

Hmm, skinny tyres to cut through it, or fatties to float over?

No, he caught a different group. He was a minute off GT.

Ah, caught a glimpse of an Ineos jersey, I thought. Still thought he would catch GT over the descent.

Got to feel for Alaphilippe though.

He was never going to catch Bernal but I think he would have got back on terms with Gee

Does the neutralisation mean that Bardet stays in the polka dot? We were heading for a triple whammy for the French at one point today.

Poels was ahead of him. He sat on his wheel on the climb then took off.

The pics on Eurosport are quite something, basically snow-ploughs sat in a slush lake. Bonkers. Uran looks furious, I guess he might change his mind when he sees the images.

Francophobe or francophile?

As above @wwaswas - is that from the race route ahead of the riders? There's the Krys banners by the side of the road.

JA was over 2 minutes behind Bernal..... He'd got very little chance of staying in yellow. Only real losers there were Yates and Bernal for me, they'd have worked together with Yates taking the stage and Bernal having a larger lead.

I've seen several people post different angles of that - supposed to be from the route.

It's [landslide] just popped up on the bbc feed, attributed to quickstep's twitter.

I wonder what they'll do with time bonuses? Bernal is due a fair few for the stage and climb!

Ineos is big on causing climate change through fracking etc... extreme weather events increased by climate change..

If anyone is to blame its Jim Ratclife

Glad I caught that as it was all developing. Highlights show should be fascinating.

Can't help but think that JA actually got lucky - had the stage carried on up the next mountain it's likely he'd have lost a lot more time as some of the contenders were probably saving themselves for that final effort rather than go all out on the Iseran. And the gap to Bernal and Yates was going out all the time - there was the potential for Bernal to have had several minutes by the end of it, not just a few seconds...
