Weather last year was just comedy - very wet! Can only get better this year! Actually, after 10 Under the Ben, it could get even worse.
It feels like a real achievement to get round. A real mixture of stuff to ride on. Nothing really technical: there's a short and slightly interesting descent into Kinlochleven otherwise, it's pretty good paths for a lot of it, a mile or more of a hike-a-bike after the river crossing and a fair bit of landrover track. It's a long enough day in the saddle though that you feel you've really earned a pint and some chips!
Hints / tips - just go for it and enjoy. The first half seems to take for ever but just when you think you're going to be out for 12 hours and you've pushed the bike 1 mile in the last 45 minutes, you end up on a downhill landrover track and after a few minutes at 35mph and you're a lot closer to home.

Take a midge net in case you need to stop to fix a mechanical/puncture. During the brief dry spells, the local blood suckers were amongst the most vicious I have ever encountered 😯
just considering if it's worth changing my 36t single ring set up to a double and bash, or just drop the chain ring to a 32T. any thoughts?
