Inspired by the toughest climb, what's the toughest descent at a trail centre?

I agree with Jedi even a tame decent hit at speed can become tricky.

Yeah I'd agree with that. I guess that trail centres work because you can make them as hard as you want by putting in more effort or going faster.

I might have to disagree with Jedi there!! (sorry sorry) A number of descents will become harder without speed. Kirroctree Black reminds me of that Hissing Sid needs a bit of something quicker to get through smoothly

I'd go for Stainburn...not that I can get down it!

That video above doesnt do justice to how hard it actually is.

Agree with MikeW Jedi- I am known as the slowest rider on the planet [FACT] and I make technically descents painfully slow- with momentum they'd be alot easier ๐Ÿ˜†

I'd like to say after all the trouble climbing I prefer to 'savour' the descent.

it's all relative. corners are harder at speed, drops and jumps are way harder at slow speeds.

More speed equals more face time!

As in, face in the dirt/rocks

It would appear, according to the news at least, that the woods behinf the Nationwide in Swindon are potentially fatal!

Stainburn looks fun. Laggan black's not that hard, it's high consequence if you screw up mind but it's just a case of spotting your line and sticking the bike down it.

Heh. I'm going with Secrets and Lies at Glentress, because I can't do that bloody left hand corner on the shonky northshore.

Can the Dark Side at Mabie be passed off as a descent? I dismally failed to find it never mind ride it when I was there but from the looks of it, that made no actual difference.

Isn't Stainburn just very rocky and bumpy? For me any descent gets hard when it is steep and has drops and stuff on it with no flat run off. The need for flow and smoothness is negated by the life preservation braking I can't stop doing.

+1 for Nant G. Everything else is child's play by comparison.

Stainburn is steep but it has not got any drops to steep.
