Will the trails in Torridon be rideable mid-January or bogged down snow covered trails of hell?
Advice please from those of you who have been up there.
Thinking of heading up there for three days of 1-day rides bothying for accommodation.
No way of telling what'll be there next week or the week after. If you're lucky, they'll be bare but frozen solid.
Expect long, cold nights though.
Lots of snow on the range at the mo...it would take a mega quick thaw to shift that lot,then there would be floods!

We were up there 4 weeks ago and we came away with our tails between our legs (gales)
I wouldn't be planning mid Jan stuff up there unless you can weather watch and go at short notice
Thanks for the advice guys - I expected as much. I think I'm going to stick to something lower down to avoid having to scrap the weekend and save it for later in the year.
