As i have threaded stuff in the past i'm thinking of getting a torque wrench, what force would be suitable for general bike duties?

Example 2-24nm etc

I find the Park tool pointer and scale one quickest to use for low torque stuff.

Brakes, stem, bars, seat post bolts all seem to be c.5-6Nm for me; apart from cassette (40Nm) and cranks (40-ish Nm?), the highest torque I've got is a Ritchey WCS seat post that's 16Nm per bolt (and it slips on anything less). So I bought a 2-16Nm torque wrench.

The recommended torque is often on the components somewhere, so I'd say check what's on your bike(s) to be sure.

Use this on my plastic bike and never had any problems. Covers all the smaller torques perfectly.

Good piece of kit. Not pricey either.

Bit smaller than i thought though.
