Hi

I've got some Tora's with a remote lockout on the bars. When you press the remote switch should the fork not move at all? as I'm finding that the fork still moves after the switch is pressed.

It should move just a bit, or if you hit a big bump.

How much is just a bit, are we talking centimetres or more? Mine seem to move a lot as in about about a quarter of the travel at least.

I'd check the oil level, the lockout not working properly is the first symptom of low oil volume in my experience.

Lockout is compression damper so it's not totally stiff and it will still blow through if you clout it. But 25% travel sounds a bit much for the lockout position. I would say my TORA feels <10% when locked out.

How does it feel if you lock it out at the fork rather than via the remote? The same?

To be honest I don't really notice it when I lock the fork out as it seems to feel the same as when it isn't locked out if you know what I mean.

There has been a couple of occasions where I've looked down and seen that the fork is allegedly locked out but I haven't noticed.

same here, quite significant movement even when fully locked.
I'd been wondering if this was 'normal'

I had the same problem with my Reba's. Turned out the remote lockout on the bar wasn't moving the lockout on the fork enough. 5 mm in movement was all it took to go from full lockout to nothing.

Try holding the lockout on the fork with your hand and see if it makes a difference.

Also a strong possibility that your rebound damper is in the process of piddling it's contents into the lower leg, usually followed by it dribbling out at the adjuster, check the lower leg for wetness.Usually covered under warranty.
