I just need some of these:
mystical bits of black plastic
but CRC site now says they're discontinued.
Anyone know of a suitable alternative?
CRC/Ebay has some expensive multicoloured jobbies but I just want standard cable clips.
I've tried 2 LBS's so far and will keep asking but an internet source would be best if one existed.
I know I can use zip ties, before anyone suggests that.
Ta

Cheers for that.
£1.02 each though!
Googled "onza hose clip"- £2 for 5 plus £1 p+p on ebay- sorted
STW to the rescue again

Says 85p on my screen ❓

Still, £2 for 5 is much more like it.

[edit] er, nothing!

come on use zip ties. those clips are rubbish. they can unclip far too easily. and cost far too much

I saw....

but I fail to see the advantage to running these over cable ties.
you're likely to loose these. and expensive to replace.
you can buy 100 cable ties for £2.95

To be fair, I've never had one unclip. And they look better than zip ties. 😉

And they look better than zip ties

like someone is going to notice as you ride past covered in mud.

though I guess you'd be outcast from bunch of cable clip using mates for using zip ties.

docrobster

I have about 10 left over from various builds you can have for free if you're interested as I don't care for them

I did follow with a winky! I think I've got a mixture on my bike, but can't honestly remember!

Halfrauds sell packs of these.

Never had one come unclipped on my bikes.

In my defence it's for my daughter's xmas pressie, building her up a "my first proper mtb", so has to look right.
I prefer them though cos they are re-usable, whereas zip ties, think of the planet and all that, every time you swap brakes a polar bear dies, probably. 🙂

So it turns out that I'm personally responsible for the death of eight polar bears. 🙁

On the plus side, many more penguins live thanks to serial brake swappers reducing the number of penguin predators, so it's not all bad. 8)
