Right here a contravertial one ( IMO ).

What do u think your top speed and average speed would be on a 0.5km stretch of towpath. 0.1% gradient. No time to build speed before hand and a road at the end crossing it ( so would need to slow to stop)

Some guy has just got approx 60kmh AVERAGE SPEED

am I just being too slow lol?

Cheers

500m from 0 to whatever to 0 and an average of c38mph hmmm.

where might this segment be?

for reference the world record for the kilo, on the track ideal conditions is c59seconds.

ie c60kmph and no need to slow down....

Sigh.

500 meters, Stupidly short segment that is open to all the vagaries of GPS tracking and poor smart phone implementations.

Why do you care.

Strava is great as a motivational and fun competitive tool, but it has it's limits, as does the accuracy of GPS.

Might as well flag it, but it's a very short section

I totally agree palookah. It shouldnt be a segment ( there not even an incline ). But alas it is. And as such it will always flag up on segments when I ride to work.

Click hide on the segment and be for evermore oblivious.
