Hi there!

I'm trying to work out the spec of a bike from some photos:

What's I've got so far is:

Frame: Genesis latitude Ti
Forks: Fox float RLC FIT w/ kashima*
Drive chain: Full shimano XTR
Brakes: XTR trail/race?
Shifters: XTR
Hubs:???
Rims: Stan's crests
Front tyre: Schwalbe Racing Ralph evo UST
Rear tyre: Schwalbe Racing Ralph Performance UST
Seat post: Thompson layback
Saddle: Fizik Gobi?
Stem: Thompson
Bars: ENVE sweep?
Grips:???
Pedals: XT

Any identifications/amendments would be most appreciated!

*I'm a bit confused about the forks. First off, I could swear that they say 33 on them rather than the 32 that would be expected. Secondly, I can't tell if they're 100 or 120mm. Any thoughts?

Looks like Chris King for the hubs and ESI Chunky for the grips.

Yep, King hubs, XTR Trail brakes and ESI grips.

Assuming you're looking to buy this, why not ask the owner?

I'd say forks are 120, but educated guess. No idea on stantions.

Thanks guys! My Dad got chatting to the owner of this bike in the street as he's looking into buying a Ti hardtail. The owner then turned up at my Dad's work ( my dad had given him his business card ) trying to sell it to him. Long and short of it is that my Dad didn't get any contact details from the guy but reckons he'll bump into him at some point so could still buy it if he wanted. We're trying to work out what its worth (the owner was talking about £3800!!).

As in the owner wants £3800 for it, or he reckons it cost that?

If the former walk away now!

@acer2012, story sounds fishy to me, he might be legimate owner, but there are a LOT of stolen bikes around these days.

Certainly has about £3.5k worth of headset spacers on there.

@nejee20 - he wants £3800, certainly not buying it for that though. TBH it looks too suspiscious to buy with a clear consience anyway!

@mrmo - Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I'll stick a post up asking if anyone's lost one.

It's easy to find out if a bike is stolen if you're talking to the guy selling it,

Just ask him what bottom bracket it has, or if the mech is top pull or straight pull or something a tad bit specific that an owner of a 3.5k bike would probably know.

I'd only be offering £1800-£2000 if he can give you the frame number and receipts - it doesn't look that old...
