Don't get it, the whole fb thing. ?? ???
Maybe up a sand dune or through a snow drift, but otherwise? I'm out.

I'm guessing you've never ridden one then?
Otherwise your views may well be different..

You'll have to see if you can borrow Steve's, and then I'll take you out for a blast if you want Tony?
I could bring it over and do Black Hambleton?
I get it, ridden one briefly in town and it was just so much fun.
I`m gutted the Specialized one is USA only for 2014
Though that Beargrease carbon looks lovely
(Hoping Brant has a Carbon Fatty Frame ready to go with the Carbon Fatty Fork)

I'm not particularly into the fatbike thing, but <drool> - though you couldn't possibly own that and not use it on idatrod or something similar.
I've tried 4 so far, Pugsley, Jones, on one & mukluk & tried to hate it but I can't, if I had room I'd have one like a shot
Surly do a nice range, but i can't picture when i would use it?
Yet to see one on any proper natural trail in the Lakes suppose they are fun for an hour or so ๐
Oh Tazzy that's nice ๐
Wow that carbon fork is amazing but a bit overkill. When did that ever stop me from wanting something ๐
"Don't get this fatbike thing" sounds like something your dad would have said. People used to laugh and point at MTB's years ago, back in the 1980's, what with their silly fat tyres and ridiculous gears. Guess people don't like change? I don't have one, or have even ridden one, but can see why people would be attracted to them - try a 2.4" tyre on your normal bike, then go back to a 2" - feels really skinny and fragile.
True.
Horses for courses though.
I tend to like bikes that can eat up the miles as easily as possible, or at least feel like they can. And whilst fat bikes are great fun to ride. The fact that pretty much anything else would be quicker on the trails local to me limits their appeal.
