It's Yanks weekend in Saddleworth ton, you might as well time your visit to coincide with the festivities, or you might think you've travelled back in time...

No, it's the commemoration of the time they filmed Yanks with that Richard Gere in Saddleworth. There's a fly-past, there's vintage military vehicles and the village all dress up like the 1940s.
You'll feel right at home....

Bring a bike lock and after you've been up the bloody big hill to the Church, come back down and lock your bikes up outside the Commercial pub. Ask for Tim and say that bloke who rides a bike and drinks with Jim recommended it... 😉
