It would appear that a couple of river gypsies have nicked a load of bikes.

To be fair Guy martin is quite handy on 2 wheels, I'd not discount his opinion.

but yeah, pretty crappy test, that said they must have spent 3 times longer than MBR/MBUK do on it...

Of course the Orange "won" Guy rides an orange...

They could've chosen a better bit of Cannock tho?

Nice to see some shiny bikes on the telly though, and that pair were clearly good riders.

Skittery? WTF is "skittery"?

You've really never heard that word before? In this instance I assume it to mean that the wheel is failing to maintain contact with the ground over bumps.

Perhaps the suspension wasn't set up correctly? Not enough rebound damping maybe?

Sorry that this is a little off topic but the Gadget show have just reviewed alarm clocks.. with Suzy Perry in bed why would you want to get out?

Back on topic... recently the "apple show" has gone down hill with the reviews, nice orange though

chakaping, I've heard skittish (Skittish, Tombs, very skittish...) and jittery, but never the combination thereof.

So now we all know what the best bike for a 6 minute run down Cannock Chase is.
Useful!

Still, at least they got people who could actually ride to test the bikes for once.

flashy, 'skittery' is a legitimate derivative of 'skittish'.

Love the Orange, wish I had 2 and a half grand lying about! I have a G3 Orange. Love it, but I have always only rode hardtail, am I living in the stone-age? Do you reckon I need to splurge and buy a full susser?

Nah, ask that question on here and you'll be told to don a hair shirt and only ever ride without gears or suspension.

yeh? Well I must admit I do love hardtails. But kind of feel that I am not improving my technical ability. Has anyone paid for Bike skill courses and if so, are they value for money? Lee Quarry looks awesome, but never been.

A hardtail will do way more for your technical ability, in my opinion.

Nice to see some bikes on the telly

The quote from my son made it for me. "Its not that extreme really, its just like what we do at Chicksands"

Actually its what every one else does at Chickdands, we go a bit slower. But I think he starting realise we are actually mountain biking

The result was never in doubt - an Orange rider picks an Orange as winner. What a shock!

Was a somewhat pointless test.

You don't have to afford the Orange you can just win it! 🙂

Agree re Polly. Fatter ankles than I normally like, but she'd do.

who's Polly?
They never showed the Yeti or the Ibis apart from a back ground shot, unless I didn't see all of it.
