Took him for a gentle loop to view the 3 Peaks - Pig now fully tested!
nice set dave.
forgot how nice the weather was yesterday.............
did not forget how bloody long the route was............ 8)
A gentle loop! LOL
Agree the weather was great yesterday. Riding a few miles east of you
Nice pics there DeeJay
Last time I was down there the ruts Ton is riding out of were running water like a river and the wind was trying it`s best to blow us away โ
Mate was test riding an Orange 5 from Kudu/Orange. We ended the day without any pads let which was weird considering we barely used our brakes all day โ
Testing a Pig weekend after next down at 18bikes
DeeJay - after Glentress I was thinking it would be great to join you on one of your rides but now I know you mad people do 45 or so mile rides I am not so sure I'd even get half way!
Looks like an awesome day riding though.
ton as another bigger bloke what gear are you running?
Simon - you would be more than welcome - ride would be suitable - honest!
Trekster - sounds like a day we had last year where we climbed Rottenstone Hill into the teeth of a howling gale - we gave up and turned onto the Cam High Road - did not need to pedal as the wind pushed us along at a steady 20mph!!!

This picture is fascinating for two reasons. Firstly, you really can see the slackness of the Pig's head angle compaered to the seat angle, and secondly you can appreciate the sheer size of Ton with Pen-Y-Ghent for scale. ๐
That's not Ton, it's Brant in platforms and all his clothes.
Did Deejay have you climbing more big hills Tony? ๐
The man's nasty and somehow takes pleasure from others pain.
๐
Looks a smashing ride Dave, you had perfect weather for a big un.
BD, a perfect post! Comedy genius!
(it does look very, very slack..!)
it does look very, very slack..!
Wait till he gets the big forks on it
somehow takes pleasure from others pain.
Had a very sore elbow/forearm last time I saw him ๐
How are the scrapes DJ โ
looks like a toy in your hands Ton, thought about trying 29" wheels? ๐
Trekster - arm healing nicely thanks - the slice of skin I took off my finger however is proving a right bast*rd.
Superb. Love the rock formations.
Is Dawes near the Buttertub Pass?
Bonesetter... yes it is, but its called Hawes.
sulking still g
What size forks you got on the pig? head angle looks very slack..
can`t wait to get the mmmbop in a couple weeks.
what forks are you using Ton? as I need to replace my Pikes which are knackered (they are 05 one so that seems an OK lifespan) so I am looking around at options
richc the forks in the pic are 130mm revs mate with qr, soon to be replaced with 150mm bolt thru.
and the 130mm are for sale people.............. 8)
Are you going for the Revelation Race/Teams with the Maxle light then? as if you are I will hang on and see how you get on with them as I have been considering those.
Justme - you missed a cracking day out - we did'nt get back to the car till 6!! - still time for tea and cake though :-)- How are your battle scars?
