i often work with celebs and don't really treat them like anything other than they are, human beings like me.
today however i had the pleasure of accompanying Dave Gorman from Leicester to Stoke on Trent as part of his SIT DOWN, PEDAL, PEDAL, STOP AND STAND UP tour. He'd been let down by his arranged guide and after seeing him at the Y theatre in Leicester we stepped up to the mark.
It was really nice to ride with someone who despite being 'in showbiz' is a keen cyclist, sound bloke and all round normal person.
It was also a really nice change to the normal weekend road ride, new company and a few new bits of our localish area to see. I'll have a pic tomorrow and he might mention us on his blog. If you get the chance, see the show as it's good fun.
just thought i'd share my (slightly unusual) day ๐
That's pretty cool. I loved his books...I'll check his blog out.
That is cool and ive just realized had i not been such a lazy arse and gone for a ride i could have run into him while he was lost in peterborough lol
You and Kirstie sure do get a mention on his blog, pictures as well ๐
There is an article in the current Cycling Plus about his ride, it would appear that he is indeed a committed cyclist.
Who's Dave Gorman?
I wish I found remotely funny because he does seem a nice guy.
Is dave gorman the bald scouse bloke that used to be on tiswas ?
