We all know that a warranty has a cost associated to it for the supplier, so I wonder how folk would feel about buying an extended warranty on bikes/frames? Pretty common thing to do on most consumer goods, cars, etc these days. If I was buying a frame for 700 quid I could be quite tempted if they were also selling an extended warranty.

FTFY
If your TV stops working it's hard to the manufactuer to argue as it shouldn't fail unless you've poured coffee down it, if a bike fails then they could just say you've used it more than average and have had a a reasnoble lifetime out of it, as any manufacturing/design flaw lieka weld not penetrating properly or a seatstay not upto the disk brake forces will become apparent relatively soon.
Is it yours?
ooooh that's pretty 🙂
Does this mean they are now in stock and being shipped out ?
Titus US have them up on their shop now, with some pics. The larger size doesn't quite look as nice to my eyes. Shame. It also looks like the headtube is to long and needs cutting down above the TT.

The warranty is 2 years "for all structural issues and manufacturing faults" according to the man from On-one, who also helpfully then added "The paint and bushings are covered for 1 year for manufacturing defects." Paint, bushings? Right then.
Paint, bushings? Right then
😆
Seems the seatpost diameter is 31.6mm not 30.9mm according to one of the first owners, is this correct Brant?
So some have been sent out?
usa only unfortunately
The HT does look as though it extends a bit too long.......

I hope not ... I have a brand new 30.9 Reverb sitting here and I ain't using a shim.

I hoped not too, but having checked in the USA, it does seem to be the case that they have come 31.6mm fitting.
Which I am obviously quite dissapointed about.
Ian. What spec is your Reverb? Perhaps we can arrange an exchange for one of these here - http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/SPRSREV/rockshox_reverb_adjustable_seatpost
Mine's the full retail pack with bleed kit. 2012 model - 30.9, 420 length, right hand lever, 100mm travel.
Arse! My new thomsons no good then
This thing looks God damn sexual...But seems to come with the issues associated with a hot blonde! 😀 In the process of building a Titus Rockstar right now and might very well be in the market for this too and try out the Ti HT too...hmmmmm. Fair do's though Brant, you are straight in there to try sorting the Reverb issue, hope that works out for Swayndo.
2 year warranty? Nice. I have an old Titus HCR with the full Titus lifetime warranty - and they were fantastic at repairing a hairline crack on a weld after 3 years of racing.
Whats the new seatpost clamp & front mech size now!
Boloxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
OD is the same. 34.9mm.
Brant - the geo chart on the On One site needs sorting... the reach and stack measurements don't match the key.
If my interuptation of them is correct this looks good, my concern is that some Ti frames can be a little... soft/noodly, I would want it to be direct with compliance when things really kick off.
Cheers
Will check reach and stack. Updated that last week. Did I get them in wrong order?
I might have been working off new diagram I did whic actually shows effective top tube dimension correctly.
will they be about before christmas brant?
Likewise Bigdugsbaws - mine is being delivered to my work, which is shut over Christmas. :-/
Frame are landing at our bonded warehouse today. Will be QC'd, checked in, processed and hopefully dispatched on Wednesday.

*MBR BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, that gets my vote for post of the week. Sheer STW classic.
LOL
Cool. Thanks Brant.
Just wondering... besides a steeper HA and lower BB - running one with a 100mm fork wouldn't be too much of a disadvantage would it..?
Well, its arrived, BUT its raw / raw, as in no badge and no decals 🙁
Frame looks nice though.
as in no badge and no decals
they shipped them out of the uK before I even knew they had landed!
and before the decals arrived from the USA.
I think decals are in tommorow, so we'll be playing catch up.
Sorry for that.
Mine is waiting for me when i get home in an hour, not excited at all 😉
They do look the business but having just built my Rockstar I'd definately get shot if one of those turned up too!
Errr the head tube seems to be a strange size, the CK tapered headset is right at the bottom but miles too small for the top - internal measure is 44, I am confused or thick.
Internal 44 at the top is correct sounds like yours is a 34 mm external top cup?
Yup I am thick.
The chainstays are too short! There is no room for a front mech between the tyre and the seat tube. It was sold as being triple chainset compatible. I'm using an XTR FD M970 mech and there is no way it can fit.
Not happy. I'll be on the blower to On One in the morning.
Current front mech is top swing. No way will it fit. Just tried an old bottom swing mech and that fits, but only by a baw-hair. Inner cable is only just not being fouled by the tyre tread, and it's a Racing Ralph, so not exactly a chunky tread. If I stick with it it's a new front mech then...
Pete, m786 should fit, it is really tight though.
Really nicely finished frame and the tyre clearance is monumental, nearly finished mine cant wait to ride at the weekend!!
Any chance of a pic? A front mech, what's that? 🙂

Massive apologies for lack of guidance on front mechs. It is a short stay design and I should have been smart enough to clearly notify purchasers of what front mechs work (and which don't).
Front mech clearance is an issue on short chainstay bikes, but can massively be improved on many "dual pull" front mechs with a modification to the mech by removing unused hardware on the back of the mech that is only used to route the front mech cable if pulled from underneath.
If I stick with it it's a new front mech then...
Absolutely, if you are unhappy, then it's your right to return the frame.
sounds like a bit of a bodge job that Brant.......bit like them 29'' chumba's of old........ 😉

How much for his slightly soiled frame Brant?

Thanks for the words. If you can help us populate a list of "what works what doesn't" then that's great.
I'm trying to find a picture of my steel sample which had 3mm shorter chainstays than this Ti model, with a triple XT chainset and a front mech.
Not succeeding. Will check again.
