Do you think I'm been an ar$e for sending this tire back?

I bought a pair of mountain king’s (supersonic) on eBay; they were described as used once!!

What do you think?

Was it used once on a 1000mile ride over broken glass ridge?

Send them back and ask for a new pair of high rollers as compensation. 😉

Not been cornering hard has he?....still got little moulding bits and outside edges are mint...."one slow straight ride with a heavy/powerful rider" might have been more accurate 😀

What did you pay?...if buttons hang on to them...they are the only grippy version so longevity is worth sacrificing for grip...standard MK's are hopeless!

Yep the tire is ripped and more than a dozen knobblies about to fall off! (surely not after one ride?)

Also the bead is coming through all over the place!!

I think they're the supersonic version.

Tell you what, if I used a tyre once and it looked like that afterwards, I'd get shot of it, too!

😉

Na that's not right.

I sold a pair to a bloke on here recently that had done CwmCarn once and then the Bristol Bike Fest (12 hour team of 4) and they looked mint still...

Even if it has been one ride (the casting pip thingis are still there) it looks like theres been a LOT of skidding. Either way, they're ripped.

The seller took the tire back to the LBS and got a refund.

So I got a refund 🙂

My MKs ripped pretty quickly with the brakes locked on rocky Spanish trails.

Still riding on the tyre no worries, just saying that could well have been one ride's worth of damage IMO.

That looks like a one-ride to me. I think you were expecting a round a carpark whizz or slightly muddy look?!

I am selling a set of tyres that were used once and are in perfect condition.
Nothing dodgy at all with them so your statement is a bit narrow minded to be honest.
