Has anyone ridden the Kip Mountain Bike Jamboree before ?

Going in a couple of weeks and keen on any tips - have only got SS and wonder if I need to gear up for this event.

Do you live here in Malaysia as they call a ride around the block a 'Jamboree'.
SS will be a struggle IMO and the website is in Bahasa Malayu and has not been updated since december so good luck.
It will be approx. 35deg C and humidity around 85-90% so be prepared to sweat...a lot!
It would be a good idea to check it is still on, they do attract lots of riders normally (1000+) but many here are more interested in the so called 'goody bag' than the actual ride....

I am ready for the temperature / humidity was more worried about route markers / navigation although I have some local guides and the organisers have been reasonably helpful on email even though I haven't paid yet !
