I've never fitted one of these, are there any special things I should know about preload before I start?

Follow the instructions that come with it? Have the right tools for the job? They're pretty easy to fit

It came as a warranty replacement without instructions. I have the correct tools. Certainly to one to fit the cups. Its an FSA crank with 3 extra spacing washers.

Have you got a HT11 spanner for turning the cups in? some have little twiddly bit for loading the bearings but anything that turns the pre load cap a bit is fine, and you just do it light finger tight.

Which one is it? You can usually find a PDF download on the 'net on the manufacturers site.

Alternatively, if you're un sure about fitting it, take it to a bike shop, and have them do it?

youtube "hopetech bottom bracket" for installation guide, very useful.
surprised me how little force should be used when fitting....
had to leave my hammer in the tool box 😆
