[#3921596]

4 months old and not much use, maybe 600 miles.....clipping in while out on a ride and the toe guide snapped clean off ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Will send them back to Merlin and hope it's a warranty - wondering if just an unlucky fail, or whether this is a known weakness ?

Cheers

had a set of rxs pedals for 4-5 years, can't remember, never had any issues with them.

My last pair of rsx cleats lasted about 12,000 miles. Have you been walking in them a lot? You can hardly say its a warranty claim with them surely.

should clarify, are we talking about the cleat or the pedal?

sorry, pedal broke, not cleat - basically the plastic section at the front of the pedal, which guides the shoe in - it snapped off. Maybe I just stomped into it a bit hard, or at a bad angle.

Don't see why not warranty though - they've hardly been used and shouldn't break in 'normal use' when so new surely ?

Was thinking clear broken, I've never heard of the pedal body itself breaking so you might as well try getting a warranty replacement.

thanks for feedback, sounds like a dodgy moulding/stress fracture or something so hopefully will be warrantied
