[Closed] time atac/all mountain

I love them, been running them for 2 years now. One pair did the EWS on a hardtail, which wrecked both wheels and the forks, but no problems with the pedals

I've been using Times on all my bikes for 10+ years, not sure what would make them all mountain or not. I've mainly bought the platform version (comes as the cheap plastic MX2 now..). Bought then because Shimano (at the time) were shite at clearing mud & CB always fall to pieces, & stuck with them. Had a number of failures lately but given their ages, I'm not complaining (springs broken) but annoying the axles still spin fine. Still not convinced that the newer shimano will clear frozen mud as well as the times, so not looking to change any time soon.

They're great pedals for pretty much anything. Got them on all our bikes too. Lasting for ages with only a few Knicks on the resin bodies...

Clearly a winner in my eyes , I've had loads of w..k brothers absolutely garbage, Time offer good mud clearing and nice float . Durability 2nd to none , still running a pair after 3 years use.

Been using them for getting on for 20 years. Ridden thousands of miles on all terrain and done everything from road races to DH races on them. Can't see me ever using anything else.

I have the roc attacks on MTB and cx/tourer and xpresso 4's on good road bike. Great pedals.

I too have run Time Atacs and Z-Controls for many years and wouldn't be without them. Z-Controls, now called DH4, have a big platform, bit more "all mountain". There are a few with smaller platforms too, the MX series.

Yep - not run anything else here for 20+ years. Originally because of mud clearance and float, but I like that they are, for me, fit and forget items - its just alien to me when I hear about people servicing pedals.

The cleats wear but the pedals just go on.

Just worked out one pair of Z-Controls I've got are 11 years old and have been on 5 bikes. Never had to touch them. They look battered but are still smooth and have no play.

What they say though I did once change the bearings on a set of pedals they were about a decade old though and on my commuter.

Just last and last I use platforms [ z and control], some carbon ones and the old Aliums is it ?

I bought ATAC's when they were first released about 18 years ago and I only got round to replacing them with newer ATAC's last month. They are still working I just fancied new ones. have used them on a ridged, hardtail and FS bike in that time over most terrain you can think off and they haven't failed me once.
