Looking to get some cycling padded tights for winter commuting but not sure which are good for tall folk.
I'm 6'4" tall but fairly slim so don't want to risk going for a xxl for possible extra length. Tend to get trousers in a 34W34L for reference.
Is there any advantage to getting bibs over tights? Sorry about all the questions but only ever used baggies with liners up until now.
Unless it is really very cold try Endura bib 3/4'ers, thengive up below the knee but that is usually warm enough. Even in snow.
Bibs keep my bum from view, good for all, and my kidneys warm and toasty, and the crotch where it needs to be.
I have used these:

I am 6'2" with 34 inside leg, 34"waist and the L fits me well, they are stretchy so they would fit a longer leg. They do come quite high up the waist ( Simon Cowell style?) which is fine under a top and keep my lower back warm. i used these in the snow last year and had no problems with being too cold, although I mostly ride off road and in the snow was working hard!
Bibs keep your lower back and abdomen warm when it's cold. i'm 6"2 (long legs) and GoreBikeWear stuff fits really well in XL size, bit pricey but v good quality.
gore stuff is very long. the italian stuff seems a bit shorter.
Cheers guys, especially jimw.
The link and reference to sizing was just what I was after.
One pair in large ordered from Wiggle. Liked the look of the Gore stuff but out of my price range at the moment.
