Getting a tight neck from lots of riding, mainly on the road as fine on the mtb. Anyone got any good stretches for helping loosen it up, and anything that will help to strengthen it?

Good stretches that work for me (and have reduced incidences of migraine) are:

Stand up straight with your arms by your side. Extend your neck up slightly by jutting your chin a bit then bend your head to the side like you're trying to touch your shoulder with your ear. Then rotate your head like you are trying to touch your shoulder with your nose. Hold for a count of five. Repeat on the other side, then repeat both until you have done five sets.

Strengthening is a bit different, but this stretch really helps me.

A mate of mine makes a conscious effort - timer on his Garmin - to sit up and rotate his head and shoulders every 15 minutes while riding.

Easier on the road than ragging it downhill, but seems to help his neck problems
