Recently got some silver XT crank arms for a build, they are functional but a little tatty. Nothing serious just a lot of foot rub etc.

Whilst they are off the bike, I thought I might be able to tidy them up a little. Not thinking anything too shiny, just a bit nicer.

Any experiences?

some fine grade wet and dry sand paper.
I bought a of horrendously painted xt cranks and heli taped cranks from the classifieds for £15. a bit of nitromors and I had some brand new looking cranks. very happy.
