Just come across these flat pedal from tisprings.com. 290g, ti axles, £55. Anyone on here have personal experience of them? Seems a decent way to lose a chunk of weight.
Just been out riding with my mate today who has them. They do look lovely in the flesh. He's not had long enough to know their true worth as it was his first ride on them, but they're pedals and helped transfer the power from his feet to the cranks, so they certainly did their job today. The body is VERY thin, thinner than the superstar nano etc by a good way.
I might sell my stash of electrons to buy some of these instead!
I was recently looking for some lightweight flat pedals and came across these, the reviews I found said that the bearings didnt last too long.
I ended up with some superstar delta evo magnesium with ti axles, 250g for the pair, but quite expensive at £135.
They look nice, and feel good with plenty of grip, too early to mention longevity, only had them for 1 ride so far.
I've had my set a while. Not had a chance to ride them yet but they are uber uber light. I've bought some o rings which seal the gap between the pedal body and the bearing cover so will report back on how the bearings hold up.
Had a set for most of last year, there was quite a lot of side to side 'float' on the axles, even from new, after around 6 months the bearings started creaking too.
Be careful to grease the threads into the cranks often, I forgot and rounded one of the allen key ends trying to get it out! I did also, snap an axle on one, thus, I'm now using Vaults.
Ben.
