Black sheep cycles make some great ones. They do it pretty much custom so you can order what you like.. They take a lttle time to produce but James will produce them eventually .. He's a small outfit but they are very nice forks.

I think Steve potts does some too... But you might need a big wallet!!!

Used to be Ti Project 2. That was many years ago. Try fleabay or Retrobike. No chance of 20mm though, and I don't they'll be new enough to have disc mounts.

if Morati still make them they'd be worth a look - or get a Eastern factory to knock you up a copy

http://morati.extra.hu

i got an old fork of theirs thats the nuts, these are the guys that made the original Sunn Ti frames which came complete with x-rays of the welds

About five years back I used to have a pair of the On-One TI forks on my Singlespeed. Not 20mm bolt thru but dammed stiff and with disc mounts, only problem with them I suppose is that they had an axle to crown measurement based on the bikes of the time. Again try Ebay or Retrobike I guess.

I just sold a pair on ebay, and are made by a factory I have contacts with still in Taiwan.

I might investigate (though I have been drinking, and you'd be best to email me about this).

Would they be I don't know much about fork construction. Why would they be any harsher than sofakings?

Brant,
Had a pair of those forks a few years back and sold them on the obvious bay, really wish I'd kept them for my Inbred, however I would be very interested in a pair of bolt through rigid Ti forks if they became avail.

Saracen used to make Ti forks for their Kili Ultra - I was offered £400 for the forks alone a little while back!
I declined the offer though, they're still on my bike. Very short though (suspension corrected for about 65mm) and non-disc.

They're unbelievably bonkers light and surprisingly comfortable but also a tad flexy when pushed hard!

well, if that's a 20mm axle, the legs must be about double that, or at least 35 or so (so somewhere arond a fox 36 stanchion?) - sounds ****in stiff to me !

sofaking's look about half that

JohnClimber,

I am interested in your Jones forks, what is the minimal headtube length needed to be able to install it?

You do know that the truss fork is designed for a none suspension corrected frame I take it?

Explosion In a Spaghetti Factory

You think it won't work cause the Moots is sus corrected? I thought if the ac length is the same as for example a Reba it could work..?

I wouldn't imagine the AC length is the same as a Reba though...

You could try it but I'd imagine the truss fork would be way too short and also has too much offset.

I've just sent you the measurement of approx 606mm but let Brant and Explosion have their say if it will suit.

606mm sounds very long. Where are you measuring to?

Typical 29er "suspension adjusted" forks are 470-490mm.

I'd have thought Jones would be around 430-440mm.

There's something wrong with your tape measure. 🙄 😉

AtoC is between 430 and 435. Can't be assed to dig the bike out the pile to measure accurately.

EDIT. good estimate there Brant.

I had the last one 🙂

Just measured it - Jones truss fork from the center of the QR to the bottom edge of the headset is 330mm give or take a few mm, headset is 20mm then the headtube start. Good guess Brant. 606mm includes the top section of the truss fork.

Interesting to see what you want for it - they cost $1000 new, but then Jeff wont make you one without the frameset...... and you can't buy one anyway since merlin no longer make them!

Sorry I measured from the axle to the bottom of the top head set, I thought that's what you asked me to measure.
I've never heard of the AC length 😳

The measurement you want is aprrox 440mm I hope

Is this the correct place to measure on the updated shot above?

Too bad, it is not going to work with (any) my sus corrected 29er, I need 470mm at least to not mess with my steering; it would work with a 26er and sus uncorrected 29ers though.

But I can always by your whole Jones can't I?
😉

You could build a 69er from that spare fork...... Might be worth advertising it on MTBR classified section. I'm sure there's somebody out there who would want to build up a custom frame based around the fork.
