Has anyone used one of the "new" VeloSpace XT 2013 versions? I am looking at them for my Jeffsy, my pub bike and potentially a Beinn 20s (but I've no idea how that will fit on it) on the back of my Berlingo.
I say new because Thule seem to be presenting them as new, but not sure what has changed - I thought I'd seen them around for a while.
Any experience? Will they tilt far enough to open the tailgate on a Berlingo?
The old Velospace was 2-bike only and really designed for E-bikes and anything weird shaped.
The new (2018) Velospace XT is designed to replace both the old Velospace and the EuroClassic.
It's been specifically designed to clear a T5 tailgate and it's the 'tiltiest' Thule towball rack so if anything's going to clear it this will.
Thanks - that sounds promising, and clearer on what's new about it.
In case anyone searches for this in the future, it does clear the tailgate on the Berlingo, but only after changing the tilt retaining cable from the 50° tilt position to the 70° tilt position.
It's a damn fine piece of kit.
