Would anyone know if the 598 wheel holders for onto a 591? I'm fed up with replacing mine. The middle can break very easily and it's a pain getting the strap out of the way for seating the rear wheel. Thanks

I had this idea, tried it and they don't quite fit. Annoying! The last one of mine that cracked I just taped up. It still holds the wheel solid so long as the metal clips are in place on the rail.

Ah, thanks davros. Yeah, they still hold, but easy to knock off and can annoy me!

How do they break? Never had that issue. I do dislike the straps getting in the way though. I thought I'd solve it by replacing the Thule straps with flexible Voile ones. Easier to secure the wheel, nice flash of colour on the car, still get in the way!

They tend to crack at the thinnest section which means the metal clips can come off the rails when not secured. 598 trays are much more solid and a better design all round.

I've lost one after it cracked. Will definitely be taping up the next one, since they are £30 to replace!
