[Closed] Thule 973 BackPac - any experiences

Hi folks,
I'm thinking of getting the Thule 973 as a method of carrying four bikes, as opposed to going down the tow-bar or roof mounted route. Has anyone any experience with these? Do they keep the bikes clear of the rear light cluster and number plate? I have a 2012 Touran and was wondering if I could avoid the need for getting the electrics modded for the lighting plate.

The 973 is quite pricey once you add the 3/4 bike add-on parts, so I'm trying to do my research first!
