Does anybody have any experiences or horror stories with the Thule 972 tow bar hang on bike carrier? Im looking for an alternative to roof mounted.

i find it to be great, although it's a bit of a squeeze to get my commencal mata 4 on due to the short length / shape of the cross bar. You can get an adjustable bar to rit between the head-set and the seat post to solve this problem.
