Anyone out there got the Thule 532 freeride? I have a couple of new ones and just putting them together with the great instructions!! However, I can't work out how to get the lock cylinders to slot into the correct locations. Any assistance gratefully received.
You need the lock unlocked and use the blank key in the pack. This pulls all of the metal tabs in. It should then slide into slot without issue.

You don't need the installation key. You can kit them perfectly well with a normal key. I must have fitted thousands of those cylinder locks whilst working for a certain car/bike shop. They are a bit of a faff. Put the key in and wiggle in at a bit of an angle. You don't need to force it. Strangely satisfiying when they eventually pop in.
Not got the 532 but had a few Thule racks and the locks have always pushed in with a bit of a wiggle and the normal key. You will need the special blank key if you want to get them out again.
Possisibly not much help but they should go in.
Edit. Just read woods review. That's just what I was saying. Wiggle it. Key at angle is good idea.
