I've spannered my wrist and need to keep pedalling. I'm looking at cheap second hand turbos on Facebook but both my road bikes have thru axles so don't think they'll work. Without spunking out for a wheel off trainer, have I got any other options?

I don't want to spend much as I'm hoping it'll get used for 3-4 weeks and then not again.

Wrist not broken according to the x-ray but I am worried about my scaphoid.

I've got a broken arm so am in a similar position, albeit I have turbo and compatible bike.

However, I hate turbos, incredibly dull.Mine won't do anything like Zwift but that is only marginally less dull. I reckon next week I should be able to start so was thinking of joining a gym instead, at least have company on their bikes, maybe spinning classes. One or two months gym membership might prove cheaper and more entertaining than a new turbo for you?

My partner managed to pick up a second hand Wahoo Kickr Snap including the thru axle kit, on eBay for 50 quid the other month.  That was unusually cheap, but there are definitely options out there for thru-axle compatible wheel-on trainers.

Thanks both, I've actually managed to buy a Wahoo Snap with the thru axel adaptors at reasonable price, will see how it goes.
