I'm just looking to get a cheap wheelset for my hardtail which I'm going to rebuild (probably into a rigid ).
I will just be using it on light local trails, out and about and on my turbo trainer.
I was going to get a used wheelset but noticed these on CRC, they are from Beone and have sealed bearings hubs.
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=45233 £55
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=45075 £60
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=45236 £65
Are they all 9 speed?
The wheelset for £55 has the same rims as the £65 wheelset, but I can't see a difference between them to justify the extra price
What do you think?
No ideas about the wheels, but the £60 set has the greatest reduction from RRP and a more traditional lacing pattern, so I would go for those if everything else is as required.
Ye I thought that pair would probably be the one because of that, thanks.
The brand-x x430 wheelset looks better value, though it's a little more expensive
Ye I see what you mean http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=33650
Seem really good value, petty there's no description.
I've got X455 rims on another bike and they have been faultless.
