Does anyone know if the gates you get in the alps to stop cattle escaping that are like a sprung piece of glass fibre rod are homemade or you can buy them?

Anyone know if so what theyre called, or does anyone have a pic?

Cheers.

I just have no clue what you are talking about
French for gate is barrière.

Look homemade to me. Plastic pipe and a spring.

I've been several time in France, in the Alps and I really can't think of a gate (barriere canadienne?) made of glass fibre rods.

A cheap door closer with a bit of plastic pipe stuck on it might do the job.

I know the things you mean, they're all over the place in Morzine. Should be something pretty easily made your self I'd have though, spring, thin tent pole maybe, post...

You're not mad. I've seem them in a few places. Took a few uses before we realised you could just ride straight through them

Some of the ones that I looked at were made from old ski slalom poles
