Very windy and hard work (if short) ride tonight after work. That'll teach me to ride having not really eaten or drunk anything all day. Muppet. Having said that, the light was amazing and I got a bit carried away taking photos (even more than usual).

The wind sure made yesterday's ride hard work, nice day otherwise though.

Cheeky Long Mynd ride yesterday. Only an hour away, I really should ride more up here. Proper windy on top, but worth it for the views!

We have had a mixture of mountains and sea with sun and storms. Getting used to the new bike and riding the old.
We set off back home from Finale tomorrow so one last day on the trails.

[img] [/img]

[img] [/img]

We rode from the Nato base to the bottom in this which was an experience

Yesterday's gravel/road loop was so popular with mrs_oab she persuaded middle_oab to come and do it today.

We ended up Callander-Venechar-Archray- Katrine Pier-Drunkie-Venechar-Callander.

Not bike related other than all than lots of bike book on the shelves, and one of Binners awesome creations behind me.

A mate finally ran an ethernet cable between big shed and house today. A job I've put off for the last 10 years 🙂

Lovely sunny spin around Cranham woods. Icy winds, gorgeous day, lots of smiling people enjoying the place, saw Henry off GMBN 😀👍

Only marred by fly tipping a-hoolies.

Just up the road from Cranham, had a quick hour blast this morning on my new Scandal in Standish and Maitlands/Stockend woods. Lush day for a ride, but I only managed to take one pic on my way up to the woods as I was having too much fun to stop to take any photos 🙂

Still not found my mojo that has been lost for 5 months or so but, managed to get the bike out and at least pretend to take it somewhere.

Was actually just looking at how much space I have to leave when designing a sub woofer enclosure.

Cracking pictures folks, some great looking rides.

Did Comrie Croft yesterday with eldest, manage one complete circuit then my freewheel exploded, pedals spinning freely in both directions, so pushed half way up a couple more times to ensure wasn't a complete wash out. Hotter than expected, we were roasting! Also: met Ben Cathro! Brilliant!

Today, quick morning blast up Dumyat, then local woods to finish. Bloody freezing early doors, -3c!

Usual local Sunday ride this morning. Still breezy and started off grumpy with groups of riders stopped blocking trail junctions and riders stopped in the middle of the trail for no obvious reason. Got out to the less busy back end of the woods and cheered up a bit though.

Sidlaws behind Dundee for a quick blast. Almost too dusty, although I suspect that will soon change...

Turbo trainer for me yesterday and today after crashing at Dunkeld on Friday.
You know those days when you should just give up, Friday was one of them.
On the drive to Dunkeld a wagon coming the other way through a contraflow hit a traffic cone (one of the big ones) and knocked it straight into my path a 50mph. Thankfully it only scuffed the front of the car. At Dunkeld I was riding nervously right from the off and nearly called it a day after the first descent, but I carried on. My persistence was rewarded when I binned it on the exit of a trail and landed heavily onto my previously separated shoulder 🙄.
Hopefully my shoulder feels strong enough for next weekends, rearranged from May, trip to Bike Park Wales and Black Mountain Cycle Centre! 🤬

Fab ride yesterday over Coombe Gibbet and Wayfarers Walk for me. Trails were perfect, if a bit windswept in the open. One tree resting on the one next to it , which was holding it up, looking like it was ready to fall across the trail as I sped under it , as too late to stop was a little un-nerving.

A lovely tour of the Trossachs (Callander, North Venechar, Archray, Katrine, Drunkie, Archray, South Venechar, Callander under glorious autumnal sunshine.

It's still the weekend, right? Well it is for me... Drove up to the tweed valley yesterday and I'm here until Saturday.

Did the Innerleithen red loop + Angry sheep as a warm up today.

The red loop was OK, nothing too amazing (too many pedally bits on the descent). Angry sheep as my first taste of tweed valley off piste was... Much steeper than it looks on videos!! Just need to get my brain adjusted as it's been a while since I've done that sort of riding.

Just booked the uplift for Friday, hopefully I'll have adjusted by then!
