Ok, so I've always joked about the fact I can get my heart rate up pretty high very quickly and my average is normally significantly higher than anyone else in the group. I regularly get my heart above 200 on climbs but, on a particularly steep climb yesterday evening, I managed to push it to 207!! * This for a heart that's pushing 40!!

It soon drops again as the intensity falls but I'm sure it can't be healthy having a heart rate a cat would be proud of ๐Ÿ˜•

* (cleaned the climb though ๐Ÿ™‚ )

same as tricky, I had the alarm ringing continuously on a gym bike last year, I'd barely broken a sweat and had loads left to give.

๐Ÿ™‚ @ ourmaninthenorth!

I'm pretty certain it's not the HRM as it shows a steady increase/decrease, not an abnormal spike. Plus it gets to 203-5 regularly. I haven't got a particularly low resting HR either but there you go. Not much I can do about it so I'll just keep going - it's only my heart after all ๐Ÿ™‚
