Is it a Vizla? , looks like a leaner lighter version of my Chocky Lab.

Dogs are great, my old Lab was a great trail hound.

I've not tried my Border Terrier yet not sure how he'll get on but my last one loved to follow the bike.

I love the way he/she squashes that jump.

I usually borrow my trail-hound from friends, has all the advantages of owning one, and none of the disadvantages bar one (he's the most unbelievable of poo-monsters), still worth taking though.

You lot need to know your dogs! All the pictures shown are of dogs on trails, not of trailhounds.

These are trailhounds. Say hello to Nell & Susie.

Great Video, wish my hound would stay behind like that.. Mine likes to take point, then maybe stop in the middle of a berm for a sniff...

Mine loves Swinley. Top tip is a pocket of ham or cooked chicken with regular feeding stops to keep interested (and easy smell location in the dusk). Once away from the Lookout (and other dogs), keeping his attention is straightforward. He's not that fast though, but good on the twisties.

EDIT: just watched and WOW that dog is fast down the gully!

Old poorly made vid of me and the dog , but you will see how cool he is. He is getting on now but still good for an hours easy trek.

This makes me want a trail hound!

You mean winding up the STW anti-dog it-could-be-the-chil-of-a-gay-muslim swan-and-a-baby-robins-face holier-than-thou massif isn't reason enough?
