Yep BMX is where the flow is, every trick has to be perfect, no b**ch hopping and you must land perfectly and smooth otherwise you havn't pulled it. I agree with the Chase Hawk and trails flow, omg it's sweet.
None of this mtb 360 but actually landing 340 and riding out, that is not pulled!
here's some flow:
Absolutely, wonderfully, insane.
nice tats!
Nice artwork too.
Does his mum know his pants are being viewed on the internet?
Is it me or does he look a bit like dennis pennis in that pic?
Talented: Yes.
All rounder? No.
Lance Armstrong's got way more all-round ability: murders most climbing specialists up climbs and murders most time trialists in time trials.
Oh, so does Alberto Contador for that matter...
But Lance also kills mountain bikers at their own discipline - like winning the Leadville 100 by a country mile.
If my memory serves me right, he was a pretty nifty Triathlete in his younger days. US National Champion.
And his trousers don't hang off his arse.
Now, that's an All-Rounder! ๐
Invite the best 20 rider on the planet...put em in Mirras private park and put an Impreza WRX up as 1st prize. You get this.

actually this vid looks so crap now but back in the day this was as mind blowing as watching Ruben or Mark Webb ride now.
ooh an american contest.......
Have to agree about Ruben Alcantara, just amazing! Seen him in a few competitions a few years back and he has such a smooth and unique take on things. Can be very tech yet as you see from his videos he can be hit some incredibly big and burly lines as well. My favourite rider by a long way!
Also Jamie Bestwick is stunning to watch, even though he is a vert specialist he can flow around a park as good as most. Watched him at Derby backyard jam and the height he got out of the big quarter made a dozen or so top riders look like kids! Insane!
jamie is awesome. 2nd best vert rider ever. can shut a park down too
Good to see Mark Webb doing well in the states at the Dew cup, finished fourth overall this year, just a pity they hardly every show his runs on the tv coverage!
It looks like me on my Ammaco FS Pro at rampworx . Minus the tats , with belt .
the runs where he placed were not as good as the others!
I prefer ' Head First '
heh heh heh
love it too

Roadies and CX riders have always kicked MTBers asses in cross country racing because XC courses have always been utterly gay. The person with the strongest legs wins.
How can you say a Roady is an all rounder - Admittedly Lance is awesome - Natural talent riding a bike comes into it (along with spending a lot of time on a bike) but if you take this out Fitness and strength plus technical ability when riding are also very important. So I'd say most Dh'ers or BMX'ers beat roadie and XC types hands down as their technical ability surpasses the "racer types" and fitness and strength is equal if not greater
Just watched the vid - JESUS CHRIST!!! Those last couple of runs are nuts!!!!
Awesome!
flip to ice over!!
Yeah - how the **** does he hold that! He is an animal! He's has so much strength and balance!

Dew Tour seems to be judged in that way though, seems like the biggest whip combos on the jump box get the points, its all about the airs and spins. Impressive but not my thing personally, always comment about how many riders enter the course with pegs on their bike and don't use them! One thing with Mark Webb I noticed was he did mix it up in this way (hitting the sub rails etc), also why most of my favourite riders to watch (on video) don't ride the big comps I think.
"ooh an american contest......."with Webby-uk,Mike Miller-uk,Ben Hennon-uk and Harry Main-uk.
no. in america!
look at steve maccan on vert, marked down. took jamie years to break through over there,
That decade 3 is sublime and some of the flip variations are just nuts. The guy has power with a capital P. It was a real shame most of his runs in the Dew tour were at the commercial break. He's one of the many guys pushing the sport, no doubt.
As for Bestwick, best vert rider ever (even the Condor would agree with that). Took him a while to break the US, mostly because Mirra was the king. With progressive sports like this, I find the best of today are always better than the best of yesterday. It's usually easier for them though, as the predecessors invented a lot of the tricks. Even back in Hoffman's prime, I prefered Jay Miron.
The judging thing is weird though. Dhers, who seems to win nearly every contest doesn't do it for me. Too precise, makes it look too easy. I'd take Wade over Dhers anyday - Stuntman Vs Robot? Stuntman WINS!
jamie is amazing to ride with but matts the best. pushed boundaries and invented more
They're both amazing. I've seen Hoffman ride a few times, he's called the condor for a reason, he seems to get so much higher with so little effort, plus he knows how to put on a show, but... Bestwick is the best vert rider ever in my opinion. He and Mirra pushed the tricks to new heights of ridiculousness.
