Highs:
Lots of stars.
Using the stars to guide me back when i took a wrong turning and got a bit lost.
No mud.
No wind.
No rain.
warm feet.
nobody else to be seen.
Lows:
Having to speed up rebound front and rear to the fastest settings (still not fast enough)
Not having anything to drink after it froze about 40 mins into the ride.
Not getting any pics as the camera from 2008 cannot compete with the old camera from 1978 in the darkness.
Oh,and the stink of crap riding back towards town from Boat of Garten.whats going on there? Enough to put you off riding the speyside way.
Highs outweigh the lows there Martin.
Too ****in' lazy to get out tonight myself.

I didnt want to say,ton but i would guess -3c to be safe.but with the water freezing like that, maybe it was colder.deffo wasnt wind chill freezing it! maybe aviemoron will pop along and check his thermo for us.

It was cold enough during the day on Thursday! Bike was beginning to freeze near the end of my ride, feet had gone long ago. Must try and get the old cleats out of my winter boots ๐
It's gonna be a fab weekend Martin. Thinking I may do a dry (frozen) Orrin run on Sunday.
Sounds good.
Orrin would be good on an icy day.especially along the singletrack.hope its still with heaps of reflections in the loch for you.
went out on the road yesterday it was -6 with + windchill but so dry, I had no skin exposed at all, used to buffs one on head and one over face and then clear glasses did about 30 miles before my feet got too cold i was wearing over shoes as well am going off road sun am should be great
