I have similar to the one you've linked, its great for tweaks and washing but probably not ideal for builds.

I was considering buying this over the Lidl one purely for the price, is the Lidl one a lot better?

It'll be much better for working on your bike, you'll not be bent over, tools at hand, able to work on all parts of bike, spin the wheels etc (just ensure you clamp seatpost NOT frame). For £20 difference I think you'll be far better off.
