Im considering using my pugsley for some bikepacking duties (starting with the gravel dash) but due to the alfine setup its going to prove pricey building up some rabbit holes for a krampug conversion.
So was wondering if anyone out there has put thinner (nearer the 3.0 mark) on marge lites? I know it will affect the bb height but how much? Its either that or i wait and build up some rabbit holes later in the year or even build/buy a specific plus bike (i.e kona unit/krampus)

As a cheaper option how about faster rolling tires?
On my Marge lites
I alternate Nates in winter and Jumbo Jim’s in Summer.
The difference in rolling resistance is very noticeable .
The Jjs make the bike feel a lot nippier and a fair bit lighter too.
