Is it vaguely plesant at the moment, or a chain-eating, pad munching quagmire? Are there trees and branches down all over the place, or is it still rideable?

What tyres, travel and/or wheel size should I be rocking there this week? 😉

More importantly.. What's the latest situation with the cafe! 😯

Surprisingly good on the (few) sections I used today. Fireroads were bit hacky but the armoured ST holding up very well.

I'll confess. I'm 'old school' swinley, I've been riding there for 20 years and I wasn't a fan of the move to a 'trail centre' type experience. But fair dos, it's made it genuinely rideable and fun through 95% of the winter, plus the bits of off-piste that still exist are also far more resistant since they see far less traffic. If you could guarantee dry weather then I still hanker after the days when these trails were rooty and natural - but you can't!

I went on Friday . It's fine. A few puddles.
I rode a hard tail with 26" wheels and lived.
Take a flask and snacks.no cafe. 🙁 the shop is selling some sarnies ,crisps &sweets etc and cofffe machine available.
